AI continues its rapid advancement across multiple fronts. In this edition of the BunnyPixel newsletter, we'll break down the latest AI news and breakthroughs with a few fun bits along the way. Lets get started…

GPT for Music is Here

We have all got used to ChatGPT (or your favorite LLM chat service) to do many tasks for us with text and numbers. When it comes to audio or music however, there were few good options available for generative AI.

That has all changed with the launch of Udio this week.

Here are some tracks we created while testing it out…

Rock - Currents of Might

Rap - Kingdom of Streets

EDM Dance - Shadows Dance

Uplifitng Electronic - Elevation Pulse

Relaxing Downtempo - Serenity Echoes

Funky vocal - Synth Spirits Groove

Jazz - Absence in Melody

It is super simple to use, just describe the type of song, sound, feel, lyrics you want and it goes off and creates two 33 second clips. Then you can listen to both and decide your next steps.

It then allows you to extend / modify them, (see the extend screen below).

You can also save, publish, download, remix and use other peoples creations from a very quickly growing library.

Audio is one of the the next AI “modes” that will be massively improved this year. There are a few other start ups working on it as well.

Very exciting stuff and we can’t wait to see what people create.

xAI, founded by Elon Musk, introduced a new version of Grok v1.5 that excels at understanding text and images. It performs better in many areas than other AIs, including ChatGPT, particularly in understanding real-world spaces.
